Definition
La Autoridad del Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Transit and Land Transportation Authority). the Panamanian government agency that regulates traffic and land transportation in the country. It handles driver's licenses, annual vehicle inspections, traffic fines, road safety, and public transportation concessions, such as bus and taxi routes. Every Panamanian who owns a car knows it from personal experience.
