Los Santos
Also spelled: la provincia santeña
Definition
A province in the south of the Azuero peninsula, with its capital at Las Tablas. It is the heart of Panamanian folklore: the pollera, the Calle Arriba–Calle Abajo Carnival, the mejorana and the First Cry of Independence all came from here.
