preaviso
Also spelled: dar el preaviso
What does preaviso mean?
The advance notice one party owes the other before ending a contract. When it is not given it is usually paid in cash instead — and that applies to whoever quits as much as to whoever fires. It is usually 15 days but it depends on the contract.
Example
He quit without preaviso and they deducted it.Renunció sin dar preaviso y se lo descontaron.
