Definition

A descendant of the English- and French-speaking Caribbean laborers (mostly from Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique and Guadeloupe) brought in to build the railroad and the Canal. Their imprint on Panamanian Spanish is vast: fren, gial, buco, chantin, guachimán, saril.
